You can read more about our story and the decision to launch Arden Film Co. here. In a nutshell, ARDEN was created to serve the wedding industry better; and offer a boutique experience for our wedding clients - completely tailored specifically to their needs.
We developed a small focus group to assist in the decision making for our new brand. The process began in search of a name. After narrowing it down to about 5, we selected, Arden Film Co.
Arden means "a great forest", which immediately connected with our style of cinematography. Every great story includes scene setting, in film it's often an aerial view to get your bearings to understand where the story takes place. Seeing the greater perspective is a guiding factor in our business, always looking at the larger story and our client's special place within it.
(We've included aerial footage in our films since 2013, and have thousands of hours flying experience.)
In creating the logo suite, the ARDEN wordmark draws it's clean contemporary lines from a sans serif font, the R adds a curvaceous femininity and the linking together of the D+E is symbolic of marriage as 'Two become One'.

The style is reminiscent of turn of the century designs of the Arts & Crafts movement and illuminated manuscripts of the 17th century and before.
The richness of the Arden brand story continues as our designer, Vicki discovers a script font created by Carolyn Porter, with an unbelievable story of it's own. This 'page-turner' published in June, 2017, tells about the creation of the font based on the handwriting of a French gentleman named Marcel, collected from letters written to his wife and children as they were separated during WWII.
